A distinctive antique brass nautical gimbal chamberstick dating to the late Victorian and Edwardian period, c. 1890s–1910s.

Designed with a self-leveling gimbal mechanism, the candle holder features a suspended weighted cup that allows the candle to remain upright as the supporting surface moves. This ingenious design was traditionally associated with maritime use aboard ships.

The piece features a broad circular brass drip tray, an elegant curved support frame, a pivoting candle socket, and suspension rings. Its beautifully aged brass surface displays a rich natural patina, reflecting its historic character.

An exceptional example of functional nautical craftsmanship, ideal for maritime collections, antique interiors, or decorative display.
